Ladakis Farm commits to the Forta GT
Family-owned farm ready to face the future with new grader
It is our mission to support our customers by developing, servicing, and optimizing the best value egg grading, packaging, and processing solutions. And we are always grateful when customers continue to put their trust in us. Like our customer Ladakis Farm in Greece, who has been a customer since its foundation. They started with a Moba Handpacker, moved to a Moba2000, and then recently upgraded their plant with a Forta GT100, which is now installed and up and running.
Back in 1984, Mr. Aristidis Ladakis founded his company Ladakis Farm — and he is still active at the business today. The company started as a small local farm and has grown into one of the key players in the Greek market. The company has an especially strong presence in the regional market of Crete, where the farm is located. From the start, Ladakis Farm has been run by the Ladakis family, now even three generations strong. The focus of Ladakis has always been on high quality and providing quick service in a very demanding market. The key behind its success is that the company continues to invest in production and grading capacity — the passion of the employees is also a major factor.
For us, Moba was the right choice as the company offers both excellent equipment and around-the-clock service support from local offices. Our farm is located on the island of Crete, so it is very important for us that we can count on a partner who has a strong service network.
Perfect fit
From the start, Ladakis chose Moba as its supplier for egg grading equipment when it installed a Moba Handpacker in 1984. Mr. Ladakis explains: "For us, Moba was the right choice as the company offers both excellent equipment and around-the-clock service support from local offices. As the company kept on growing, so did the need for a machine with greater equipment capabilities and capacity. To take the next step toward the future, Ladakis decided to invest in the Forta GT100, a grader with a capacity of 36,000 eggs/hour, full of high-end features and with an easy-to-control operating system. "The fact that the machine can be upgraded on a modular basis, the increased capacity, and the state-of-the-art software and hardware systems made the Forta the perfect fit for us."
The Forta has been installed at the customer's plant and Ladakis is very happy with the new equipment: "We have been a Moba customer for many years now and know the top quality the Moba brand stands for. We have always been happy with the provided service, and this time they even exceeded our expectations!
