In 2007, the Moba Group acquired Diamond Automation to broaden its portfolio. One year later, Moba combined all American operations under the name Diamond Moba Americas, which eventually became Moba USA. To handle all its American operations, Moba has three offices in the USA: Farmington Hills, Moreno Valley and Weston (LATAM). Now with Mr. Craig England as the new President of its US interests, Moba is ready to take its activities in America to the next level.
With the combination of the strong Moba Group management as well as the innovations developed by the technical group, we are poised to be able to further provide solutions to the ever-changing challenges that face our industry today and in the future.
Back home
"I am pleased to be joining the Moba team as President of the US operations," says Mr. England, expressing his enthusiasm about his new job. "Moba has been, and continues to be, the world leader in egg handling equipment. With the combination of the strong Moba Group management as well as the innovations developed by the technical group, we are poised to be able to further provide solutions to the ever-changing challenges that face our industry today and in the future."
Mr. England is no stranger to the Diamond brand. He has worked with Diamond Systems before: "I began working in this industry for Diamond Systems in 1984. I was there until 2006." After some adventures at different companies within the poultry industry, for example as Vice President of Big Dutchman and the President of PMSI, as well as founding his own company EggZact Services, Mr. England found his way back to Diamond. "With the acquisition of Diamond by Moba and the changes that have been made over the years, I feel my past tenure, as well as my experience in Customer Service, Engineering, Sales and Management, are suited perfectly to help provide the direction for our continued growth in the US."
With our parts and service teams, we are able to support our customers quite effectively.
Farmington Hills
Mr. England will oversee Moba USA at the Farmington Hills office. This office in Michigan focuses on supporting Moba, Pelbo and Diamond brand equipment with parts and service and manufacturing the Diamond family of Moba Farmpackers as well as updates for the Diamond brand grading equipment.
Over the years, the Farmington Hills office has grown into a team of 71 employees with a dedicated Service team and an extensive stock of over 10,000 spare parts. On average, Moba USA receives over 1,500 parts orders and 5,000 line items per period. "Our parts are on-time 90% of the time, shipping in under three days," explains Laura Dixon, Director of IT, Service Parts and Manufacturing. "We support over 500 customers out of this office. From the service side, there are 18 full-time employees in our Service Department and 13 of them are Service Engineers who visit customers frequently on site. With our parts and service teams, we are able to support our customers quite effectively."
We give our customers the opportunity to educate themselves on how to use the machine. They can explore the machine and learn everything they need to know to operate, service and adjust their Moba equipment.
Technical Training Center
Moba has two state-of-the-art Technical Training Centers, one located in Barneveld, The Netherlands, and one at Farmington Hills. At our American Training center, customers can familiarize themselves with the OmniaPX700, Omnia FT500, and the MR12 Casepacker. At Farmington Hills, you can follow the Omnia FT Operator, Omnia PX Operator, Detection systems, MR12 and Omnia PX Service courses. Over 100 customers, mostly from North and South America, sign up for these courses annually to acquaint themselves with the equipment and acquire the necessary technical knowledge at Farmington Hills.
Ivan Palczyk, the technical trainer at the US facility, believes in the added value for our customers: "We give our customers the opportunity to educate themselves on how to use the machine. They can explore the machine and learn everything they need to know to operate, service and adjust their Moba equipment."
The US operation has a history of developing a strong support team to ensure that our customers extract maximum value from the equipment they entrust us to supply them.
Developments
Moba is an innovative company and strives to provide its customers with the latest equipment and comprehensive solutions, not only by introducing new projects but also by finding ways to adjust its current machinery to meet customer expectations. The office in Farmington Hills is no exception. Recent projects at this US office include modernizing the Moba Diamond FPX100 Farmpacker and engineering a solution to fit the Moba Easylift on the Diamond 400 cph Loader.
Next step
Over the past few years, Moba has continued to grow in the US — because of this, the company now has three offices across the country. With a dedicated Service team, extensive stock of spare parts and its own Technical Training Center, Moba USA offers personal contact, top quality support and quick service. Mr. England praises the accomplishments of Moba USA and is committed to continuing this impressive performance: "The US operation has a history of developing a strong support team to ensure that our customers extract maximum value from the equipment they entrust us to supply them. This is evident in all aspects of the operation today and will be what we continue to invest in for our future."
