endres-ei, our german customer

First Omnia PX180 sale

Endres-Ei is a family business based in Großrinderfeld (Germany) with a long family history in the poultry industry. In 1897 Fridolin Endres took over the farm from his parents, and with his wife Anna he built the basis for today's farm until his death in 1937. Many buildings from that period are still on the property today and are an important part of the business. In 1960 Leo and Erika Endres introduced laying hens to the farm, and in 1997 Heide and Friedel Endres re-oriented the entire laying hen husbandry towards alternative husbandry.

Christian Endres founded the Endres-Ei brand in 1998 and started selling within the region. Together with his wife Agnes, and with the help of his father and a small Moba68 grading machine, the first real egg grading took place. With an old VW bus, a lot of clever ideas and lots of passion they established Endres-Ei within the region. The Endres-Ei concept of transparency and openness was presented to the public in 1998 at the first open door event. Since then Endres-Ei has welcomed all customers to its facility every two years.

In our search for higher standards in terms of hygiene, cleanability and egg handling we concluded that Moba, and its Omnia PX180 in particular, was the best choice.

Nowadays Endres-Ei - which now has 40 employees - is a direct supplier to supermarkets in a 60 kilometre radius around Großrinderfeld. Over the years the company has grown a lot and has expanded its activities with boiling and colouring of eggs. The entire cycle from growing grain and taking care of the hens through to delivery of the packed eggs to supermarkets is done in-house by Endres-Ei.

The company’s constant growth also required an egg grader which was better adapted to the demands of today’s market. Christian Endres says: “In our search for higher standards in terms of hygiene, cleanability and egg handling we concluded that Moba, and its Omnia PX180 in particular, was the best choice. Just like Moba, Endres-Ei is an innovative and future-oriented company striving to serve its customers in the best possible way.” With the Omnia PX180 Endres-Ei has increased its grading and packing capacity to 64,000 eggs per hour, and enjoys the benefits of Moba's well-known individual egg handlingcombined with all imaginable cleanability features on a daily basis.

The Omnia PX180 was successfully installed at Endres-Ei in February of this year. It took Moba engineers just four days to install the Omnia with all its features including Loader, and production was restarted smoothly in collaboration with the employees of Endres-Ei.
