"Our company is a special case," Mr. José Maria Alcántara, Company Manager of JM Alcántara explains. "Before establishing his company in 1993, Mr. Alcántara Senior was a mechanic with the former Moba agent. When Mr. Alcántara started his own company with the main focus on second-hand machines; a large number of customers already trusted him and followed him to his new company. That is how the company started, with Mr. Alcántara Senior as the founder being assisted by his two sons."
Through the years, with the support of Moba, we have continuously evolved and improved. We have always tried to live up to the challenge. Sometimes hardships are inevitable, but the cooperation is fruitful and our company has grown every year thanks to our collaboration with Moba.
Core Business
In 2003, JM Alcántara became the official agent of Moba. This was an important milestone for the company. Currently, JM Alcántara has 19 employees that keep its Spare Parts, Service, Second-hand machines, Sales and Finance Departments running. Mr. José truly believes in the quality of his employees: "Due to the experience and strong commitment of our engineers, we offer our customers a high-level service. And thanks to our strong position in the second-hand machine market, we have excellent technical knowledge of all machine issues. Due to our years of experience with grading machines in Spain and our willingness to constantly improve processes, we have made steps forward as a company. Our customers rely on our service and our employees are the key in this process."

Focus
The egg industry can be a challenging market due to constant changes. Mr. Alcántara acknowledged that the Spanish egg market is evolving. "More and more focus is being placed on modernizing egg grading and packing centers. I believe automating packing stations will be the key focus in the future, and that this will consolidate in the new decade. Our most challenging task for the future will be increasing production capacity for our customers whilst ensuring that the product is of the highest quality.
