« Nous vous tiendrons informés »
Moba, as a global player in the egg industry, relies on an extensive network of agents that enables us to be where our customers need us to be. Whether they live close to our headquarters in the Netherlands or miles away at the bottom of the world in New Zealand, where our agent Advanced Packaging Systems Ltd. has been representing the Moba brand for many years.
For over twenty years, Advanced Packaging Systems Ltd. has been considered a specialist importer of high-quality grading, packaging and processing equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, poultry and chemical industries in New Zealand. The founder of the company is Mr. Brian Klitscher, who has worked as an Aircraft Engineer. He has also experience in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and beverage industries.
This background has given him a solid basis to liaise with customers in the egg industry in New Zealand, on the technical, commercial and food-related aspects of the Moba graders. At the time of setting up the business in 1999, Mr. Klitscher had been working with the former Moba agent for ten years, where he learned about the excellent reputation and quality of Moba egg graders, as well as the demand from local customers for quality machinery and systems.
Being isolated at the bottom of the world, our customers need to know that they can have total trust in their grading equipment and ongoing support. The Sales, Engineering and Commercial staff Moba has employed within the Kuala Lumpur Office to support local agents and customers, is excellent.
One team
We pride ourselves in responding to each customer's specific needs. Automation as well as detailed reporting on grader performance and egg quality are gaining interest with our farmers.
80% of the market
New Zealand has a population of 5 million people and a current layer population of 3.8 million. Egg consumption is at 235 eggs per person per year and this is expected to grow as the popularity of eggs increases.
There are currently over 125 registered egg farms in New Zealand, ranging in flock sizes from a few hundred up to over a million layers. According to Mr. Klitscher, a majority of the egg producers (over 80%) have placed their trust and loyalty in the Moba range of egg graders. The eldest of these graders date back to the '70s and they are still in operation. In one instance, an old Moba2000 shifted across the floor by 2 meters during a strong earthquake and it was still able to run after only a few minor adjustments.
Supporting the customer
Through the years, Advanced Packaging Systems Ltd. has built a strong name in the trading industry in New Zealand. Mr. Klitscher relies on a staff of three, plus a local engineer who was trained at the Moba factory almost 30 years ago, to give his customers the best support possible: "Automation as well as detailed reporting on grader performance and egg quality are gaining interest with our farmers. Most grading floors here need to run a wide range of packaging and carton styles across their graders in order to satisfy the diverse range of supermarkets and end-users. We pride ourselves in responding to each customer's specific needs."
