How can we serve our customers better? That is the question that is always on the mind of our new Product Marketing Manager, Mr. Johan Kennis. Along with his team, he is responsible for managing the Moba product and service portfolio and developing effective marketing strategies: "We want to enable our customers to grow their businesses. Moba's egg grading and processing solutions can support that growth."
Before starting at Moba, Johan didn't know anything about what would become his new workplace. "It is hard to believe because of the strong market position and reputation of Moba, but when I was approached by the company I didn't have a clue what exactly it was that Moba did." However, after some research, his interest was piqued, especially after he visited the headquarters in Barneveld. "It was amazing to meet the passionate Moba team. They are so proud of the work that they do. They go to the extremes to ensure that our customers get top-quality equipment and services. And when there is a challenge, they are committed to finding a solution. That's what makes Moba stand out. It is the passion of the employees that makes all the difference. I have worked in the manufacturing industry before, but I have never been part of a company that handles every aspect of the manufacturing process. From molding to software development, Moba does it all at its headquarters. That is an amazing concept that guarantees quality."
For the customer, every egg counts, and we are responsible for finding ways to help them get the most out of their eggs.
The right fit
Johan graduated from Tilburg University with a qualification in Marketing Management and has over fifteen years of experience in helping B-B companies grow by revitalizing and future-proofing sales and marketing. He has held various positions, from Sales Manager, Product Manager, Team Lead Solutions to Marketing Manager within IT Services (process automation) and Packaging Solutions. "The best part of Marketing is going on the journey together with the customer. To truly understand their needs and to develop solutions that our customers don't even know they need. But that is only one part of the job. The next step is positioning, messaging and branding the solutions so that we can reach and convince potential customers. We have a great market position and 75 years of experience but there are always ways to improve. It is up to us to ensure that our customers have all they need to face their challenges. For the customer, every egg counts, and we are responsible for finding ways to help them get the most out of their eggs."
Johan sees the potential of using data generated by iMoba and affiliate systems to create new added-value services. "The launch of iMoba opened up a whole new world of opportunities. Data produced by our systems is available for immediate and future use, and profound insights are created within milliseconds. And that is just the start of the journey. The possibilities are endless. As an egg producer or processor, you can get valuable knowledge about your business processes that will reduce the downtime of your equipment, make complete tracking and tracing possible, improve supplier management and smooth out any issues in your planning, which will help you to work more efficiently. Data and services are key in taking your business to the next level."
No matter where you are in the world, be it in Australia or America, chances are the egg is part of the consumer's weekly diet. So we play a part in feeding a growing worldwide population.
The importance of the egg
"I have never worked in the food industry before working at Moba. It is an exciting industry, but also an important one. No matter where you are in the world, be it in Australia or America, chances are the egg is part of the consumer's weekly diet. So we play a part in feeding a growing worldwide population. Plus, the egg is an amazing food resource — it is delicious, and an affordable protein powerhouse with a small ecological footprint. All of these things mean that the work we do can really make a difference. It is a huge responsibility, that is true, but it also gives me a lot of satisfaction."
