„Wir halten Sie auf dem Laufenden“
In 2006, Moba opened an office in Beijing, China. It was a way for us to further strengthen our position in a country where orders were already growing. Having its own office means Moba is able to help its Chinese customers to take the next step in egg grading, packing and processing.
Furthermore, an aging population means that demographics are changing. In the long run, this will increase the demand for automation and creating clusters to produce a high-volume output.
Customer requirements
Around 1.5 billion eggs are consumed in China every day. Less than 10% of these eggs are graded and less than 1% is used for further processing. "Of these eggs, we estimate that 90% goes through Moba equipment," Mrs. Minnie Wang from Sales Support explains. The majority of graded eggs are sold in the urban clusters of Beijing/Tianjin, Shanghai/Suzhou/Hangzhou and Guangzhou/Shenzhen. As for the rest of the eggs, approximately 900 million are consumed in rural areas, some go straight to further processing and some are used in a variety of finished products. In most rural areas, consumers will have their own chickens, so they have their own supply of eggs in their backyard.
"With that in mind, we are absolutely aware of the potential for industrialization and automation in China," Mrs. Minnie continues. "In addition, the industry is facing challenges when it comes to securing land for setting up layer farms. The government is focused on improving the environment and reducing environmental impact. Furthermore, an aging population means that demographics are changing. In the long run, this will increase the demand for automation and creating clusters to produce a high-volume output."
