„Wir halten Sie auf dem Laufenden“
Mr. Luiz Campos has had a long career in the egg industry. After working for his father's company for many years, he decided to start his own company, Erta Lda, in 1993. Four years later, he officially became Moba's agent in Portugal. Now the time is right to pass on his legacy, but first, he looks back at his cooperation with Moba and how this working relationship has benefited both his company and the customers.
For Mr. Luiz, it all began in 1975, the year he started working for Mundinter, the company founded by his father. "It was here that I first became acquainted with the poultry farmers. I realized that there was a need for a system to inspect and classify eggs before they went on the market and were sold to consumers. That is why I started selling hand packers in Portugal. Then in 1979, after selling some hand packers, I was able to sell the first automatic grader, the Moba2000, to Lusopintos, a hatching center, and A.C.A., a commercial egg center, which was one of the largest national egg traders at the time."
The position we have established in the Portuguese market is thanks to the joint effort of Moba and Erta Lda and is based on the trust and friendship we have established with our customers.
Going his own way
In 1993, Mr. Luiz was ready to start his own company. "I formed Erta Lda in collaboration with Mr. Vitor Rodrigues, the director of the technical support department. We have two independent engineers for installing and repairing Moba equipment and Mr. Vitor is responsible for this department. I am responsible for the commercial aspects of the business, such as contacting customers and selling the equipment. We also have one support worker in the administrative department."
Erta Lda achieved success and continued to consolidate sales of equipment to the Portuguese egg market. In 1997, Moba and Erta Lda decided to make their cooperation official, when Erta became Moba's agent in Portugal. This cooperation with Moba resulted in a close friendship. "I established a strong friendship with Mr. Arend Doppenberg over the years and with the help of Arend and the rest of the Moba team, we managed to become almost the sole provider of egg graders and automation equipment in Portugal."
Retirement
Mr. Luiz has worked with Moba for 45 years. "We have made Moba a prominent name in Portugal, supplying around 99% of classification centers and egg producers, such as Zezerovo, CAC, Ovolider, Campovo, Resouro and Uniovo and we always count them as part of the Moba family."
Mr. Luiz will soon be enjoying his retirement, while the technical and commercial aspects of his company will move to Precious Dimension, a company that has been providing technical support for Moba equipment for several years now. "The position we have established in the Portuguese market is thanks to the joint effort of Moba and Erta Lda and is based on the trust and friendship we have established with our customers. And I believe that, with the new actors, this will continue for many more years."
