„Wir halten Sie auf dem Laufenden“
That is what reliability is all about
In a world of increasing speed, demands and expectations, providing round-the-clock support is of vital importance. That is why we at Moba are committed to being there when and where our customers need us, such as a recent emergency in Malaysia, where even a flood situation didn't stop our Moba Asia office from providing on-site support to our customer Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm.
Charoen Pokphand was founded in Thailand in the early 1920s and has grown into Asia's leading company focusing on agribusiness production and processing. Charoen Pokphand Group Co. Ltd. serves as a parent company of CP Group. As a holding company, Charoen Pokphand Group Co. Ltd. holds shares of subsidiaries in Thailand and overseas. The company operates businesses that are in strategic locations with a focus on modern production processes, conform to international standards and operate in an environmentally friendly manner. CP has been a long-time Moba customer, with Moba egg graders at many of their plants, including in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Taiwan.
Flood season
On the 11th of January, Mr. Shahul (Senior Regional Service Engineer at the Moba Asia office) received a distress call to immediately visit CP's plant, located in Peninsular Malaysia, to fix a problem with their Omnia XF125. This is an inline machine, and the customer could not afford to stop production. Without delay, Shahul collected the necessary parts from our regional warehouse at Petaling Jaya (near Kuala Lumpur) and headed to the customer's plant. The journey normally takes about 3.5 to 4 hours.
We understand the consequences our customer faced, so by providing prompt service, we helped them keep the egg grader running, so CP can grade and pack eggs for those who have been affected by the flood. Many of the flood victims have evacuated into temporary shelter, where eggs are essential food for them.
The east coast of Peninsular Malaysia is a beautiful island, well known for its crystal clear water. However, it receives a lot of heavy downpour during the monsoon season. This non-stop rain combined with the high tide can cause flooding. Halfway through the journey, Shahul found himself stopped by a stream of floodwater, which cut off the only route to the plant. Instead of turning back, our engineer continued pushing forward by boat, as had been provided by the customer. Of course, Shahul did this after having carefully assessed the situation — safety is always the top priority. So, with a safety vest on, focused on his task and much enthusiasm he defied the heavy downpour and reached the CP plant.
"During monsoon season, the customer faces a great challenge to keep the operation running," Shahul explains. "For weeks they had to transport the eggs in and out of their plant by boats, and it was not easy. We understand the consequences our customer faced, so by providing prompt service, we helped them keep the egg grader running, so CP can grade and pack eggs for those who have been affected by the flood. Many of the flood victims have evacuated into a temporary shelter, where eggs are essential food for them."
Mr. Saroj Ngamlux, Vice President of CP, voiced his appreciation of Moba's efforts and gave the company the thumbs up for its commitment to providing support. Shahul: "I am grateful that I could be of assistance. It was a perfect collaboration. Moba came to the rescue to keep production running and CP came to my rescue so I could arrive safely by boat. Together we got the job done!"
